The love of money is the root of all evil, as is being presently demonstrated right across the known world. I have no respect for anyone who mindlessly collects more money than they can ever spend. I'd rather save my respect for the paramedics, policemen, firemen and doctors and nurses who selflessly go about their work for others for relatively little pay for what they do.
