I have just finished my M.A in Children's Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art and thoroughly enjoyed it. I consider myself an illustrator and I work for a company called 'Creative Minds' who take art and craft sessions to older adults and adults with learning disabilities. The following entries are my drawings and musings. All images are copyright of Kerina Strevens. Please contact me on my website kerinastrevens.co.uk.

April Is The Cruellest Month
For the last nine months or so I have been doing a cartoon most months for the magazine 'The Showing Journal'. This is the first drawing that I did for them. I finished another one today for the May copy. I'm feeling a bit displaced since I finished my course but I think the main thing is that I just carry on drawing and keep pushing things. I don't think my life was ever meant to be easy. Still, when you have to fight for it you always appreciate it more when you win. Onwards and onwards and slowly up. 'April is the cruellest Month' is a quote from 'The Wasteland' by T.S. Eliot, which I did for 'A'Level' English and although I enjoyed it, I never did understand it.
