I have just finished my M.A in Children's Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art and thoroughly enjoyed it. I consider myself an illustrator and I work for a company called 'Creative Minds' who take art and craft sessions to older adults and adults with learning disabilities. The following entries are my drawings and musings. All images are copyright of Kerina Strevens. Please contact me on my website kerinastrevens.co.uk.

Rain Again
Up until the weekend, it was pretty much too hot to do anything. Then, after the hottest day, it began to rain. I cavorted in the garden in it. We had a massive, hour long thunderstorm and lost the power about five times but got it back within minutes each time. It was wonderful. The next day, my sister came to see us and we all went out for a meal. It was a lot cooler and more comfortable. I had begun to worry about the cats with their furry coats. They head for the shade but the heat was so high that even with fans it was getting a bit hard to deal with. I made them some spring water and tuna ice cubes - they seemed to like them. Yesterday it rained, today it rained but the heat is beginning to build again. It was lovely to have a few days respite from the heat. Trouble is, the grass needs cutting again now.
